MIDEL eN Natural Ester fluids

MIDEL eN 1204 (rapeseed or canola) and MIDEL eN 1215 (soya) are fire safe, natural ester-based dielectric fluids specifically developed to offer a cost effective, safe alternative to traditional fluid and dry-type transformers

MIDEL eN fluids also offer superior moisture tolerance; laboratory testing has demonstrated that natural ester fluids have the potential to increase the lifetime of cellulose based solid insulation used in transformers.

Recently the transformer industry has reported the failure of multiple large units due to the presence of corrosive sulphur. MIDEL's natural ester has been tested by independent laboratories to ASTM D1275 B, Standard Test Method for Corrosive Sulphur in Electrical Insulating Oils and IEC 62535, Insulating liquids - Test method for detection of potentially corrosive sulphur in used and unused insulating oil. It was found to be Non-Corrosive.

Our natural esters do not contain the flame retardants PBB and PBDE, nor is it formulated using lead, cadmium, mercury or hexavalent chromium. The concentrations of these heavy metal contents are all below 1ppm.

MIDEL eN 1204 and MIDEL eN 1215 are effective in sealed transformers and are compatible with standard transformer insulating materials and components
